Fancy a 10K run?
If you fancy doing a 10k run, how about entering the British 10K run on 12th July?
Join thousands of other runners enjoying a scenic route around central London’s historic landmarks. The official race charity is Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity but there are hundreds of other charities with places to offer.
If you fancy entering or finding out more check out the website.

About 70 of us are doing the British 10K in memory of Rosie Dwyer, a fit and healthy 19 year old who died suddenly from septicemia 6 months ago today. We are raising money for ACE Africa to send teachers to help orphans in Africa as Rosie was very moved by the plight of African children when she holidayed there. We are not a group of natural runners, but will have some people walking, some running and some jogging. But all of us will be remembering Rosie and what a wonderful girl she was and what a tragic loss she is. We will be wearing teeshirts with her name on so please help us keep going with the usual enouragement if you see us flagging!
Keeping fingers crossed for a morning of cloud cover xx
and if you fancy sponsoring me, I am on here as sarahclarke10k
Hi All myself and my sis in law are jogging/walking/crawling this 10 K for the first time ever! We have never been running before so the training for it has been somewhat interesting!!! We are running for a little and very unknown charity call TAMBA (Twins and multiple births association) This charity helps out multiple birth families from people with twins up to people with sextuplets and more! There are lots of different angles that TAMBA can help with from supporting single families with multiples to providing a confidential phone line for people to ring if they just need to “talk” to someone that will understand what it is like to have a multiple birth/family. They are also doing great work campaigning for recognition that multiple births are not the same as single births financially and health wise and are making progress with the current government!! So if you see the TAMBA t-shirts crawling by!!!! give us a cheer! and if you fancy bunging us a few quid it’s sarahsmith49. Many thanks!! and good luck to everyone else running!
Hi,
Me and a group from my family are also running/walking/hobbling this weekend. We are running in memory of our grandparents and in support of Guys & St Thomas’ hospital. We as a family are so grateful to the support that the nurses and staff gave my granny over the last years of her life. I am also incredibly grateful for the support the staff gave my sisters who day after day for about 3 years ensured that my granny had a visitor and had to make all they day to day desicions over her care.
Anyway good luck to everyone running on Sunday
